Installation, Older versions

If you already have a version of easysearch installed please read the uninstallation notes first (further down this page).
Linux: You might have to use CHMOD on the easysearch.jar file in the chrome directory.

Install version 0.99 (Mozilla 1.0, Netscape 7, Mozilla 1.2alpha)

Easysearch Toolbar version
Personal Toolbar version.

Update Easysearch toolbar from version 0.96 or higher:
A simple update by replacing easysearch.jar in the chrome directory.
Download and Unpack the zip file and read the README file.

Uninstallation
We do not provide any "uninstallation" scripts for released versions under 1.0.
If you temporary want to hide the searchbar you can use the menu: "view->show/hide" and then unmark EasySearch Toolbar.

Remove EasySearch
1 ) In the chrome directory of Mozilla ther is a file named "chrome.rdf". Search for easysearch on that file. And remove the following lines:

( and )

<RDF:Description about="urn:mozilla:package:easysearch"
    c:baseURL="resource:/chrome/easysearch/content/"
    c:locType="install"
    c:displayName="EasySearch Toolbar"
    c:author="Andreas Andersson"
   c:name="easysearch" />

2 ) Remove the line in the file "chrome/overlayinfo/navigator/content/overlays.rdf":
<RDF:li>chrome://easysearch/content/easysearchOverlay.xul</RDF:li>

3 ) Remove the line in the file "chrome/overlayinfo/communicator/content/overlays.rdf":
<RDF:li>chrome://easysearch/content/easysearchOverlay.xul</RDF:li>

4 ) And then remove the directory easysearch or/and the file named easysearch.jar in the chrome directory
